My Experience with Identity Theft
(and How to Protect Yourself)

A few years ago, I experienced one of the most stressful situations of my life: identity theft. Someone had duplicated my ID, Social Security number, and even forged a company check by duplicating the routing and account numbers. They were cashing checks around a small community that still accepted them for goods and services. It was a nightmare to sort through and left me feeling incredibly vulnerable.
For a while, things seemed to settle down. But then, about two months ago, the fraud started creeping back into my life. Over the span of two months, my debit card was compromised three separate times. The following month, one of my credit cards was hit as well.
Dealing with this was exhausting. Every time, I had to update all my business vendors with new card information. One vendor, who charges $500 a month to maintain my website, even commented, “This is like the third or fourth time you’ve had to update your card!” When I explained my history with identity theft, he introduced me to a game-changing tool: Privacy.com.

Privacy.com allows you to create virtual cards for online purchases, keeping your real banking information safe. If one card is compromised, you can easily shut it down without affecting any other accounts. It’s been a lifesaver for me, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to safeguard their financial information.
Online fraud is becoming more common every day, so take a few minutes to check out Privacy.com. Share it with your friends and family—let’s work together to fight back against fraud!
