Why You're Not Getting Clients from LinkedIn (Yet)
Let’s cut to it.
Yes—agents are getting leads from LinkedIn. They’re turning conversations into appointments. I know some of them personally, and they’re not doing anything magical. They’re just doing it right.
So if you’re not seeing traction, here’s a no-BS breakdown of what might be going wrong:
1️⃣ You’re making it all about you.
No one cares about your awards or how long you’ve been in the business until they know you can solve their problem. Lead with value, not your resume.
2️⃣ You sound like a clone.
If your posts read like something ChatGPT spit out or you copied a script from someone else's feed, it’s not gonna land. Be bold. Be different. Share your opinions—even if they ruffle feathers.
3️⃣ You’re broadcasting, not connecting.
Posting is easy. Creating conversations is harder—but it’s where the business lives. Ask questions. Respond to comments. Invite people in.
4️⃣ People don’t know what you actually do.
Your content isn’t a diary. It’s a marketing tool. If someone scrolls your page, will they instantly know what problem you solve and how to work with you? Fix that.
5️⃣ You’re not building trust.
Client wins, stories, behind-the-scenes, stats—this is what makes people believe you can help them too. Stop telling people you're good. Show them.
6️⃣ You’re cold DM’ing strangers and wondering why it’s not working.
Relationships > spam. Comment on their stuff. Add value. Earn the right to be in their inbox.
7️⃣ You’re ignoring the tools LinkedIn gives you.
Carousels, polls, newsletters, infographics—LinkedIn rewards creators who use its full toolbox. If you’re only posting one-liners, you're playing checkers in a chess game.
8️⃣ You have no plan.
Random posts = random results. Create a simple funnel:
👉 Attract attention
👉 Build trust
👉 Make the offer
Look—LinkedIn works if you work it 💼. Stop posting just to post 🚫. Start posting to connect, convert, and close 🔑.
Go fix what’s broken and let me know how it goes 🔧
