Movember, Marketing Magic & Must-Read Tips to End the Year Strong šŸ’„

In partnership with

šŸŽƒ Happy Halloween and welcome to another edition of The J-Curve! As we step into November, itā€™s a prime time for reflection and strategy as we gear up for the final stretch of the year.

This week, weā€™re diving into the art of creative marketing with some game-changing insights from the film industry that could inspire your next big move in real estate. Weā€™ll explore LinkedInā€™s new lead generation feature, exciting shifts in YouTubeā€™s ad revenue, and dive into Pacasoā€™s innovative co-ownership model, which could redefine real estate investments. Plus, as Movember begins, weā€™re spotlighting how this movement is changing the conversation around menā€™s health. So grab a coffee (or a piece of candy šŸ¬), and letā€™s get started on another week of growth and opportunity in real estate!

P.S. šŸ‘» Just because you can connect to your neighbor's Bluetooth speaker and play ghost noises doesnā€™t mean you shouldā€¦šŸ˜‰

MARKETING:

šŸŽ¬ Thinking Outside the Box for Maximum Impact! šŸŽ¬

To promote the horror film Longlegs, indie studio Neon skipped traditional ads entirely and went for something bold: a single, eerie billboard with a phone number linked to a message from none other than Nicolas Cageā€™s character, drawing over 250,000 calls in 48 hours! šŸ“žšŸ‘€ This unconventional approach helped Longlegs reach $22.4 million in its first weekend, becoming Neon's highest-grossing release ever.

So, what can we learn from this?

In real estate, itā€™s easy to stick to the same-old methods. But sometimes, stepping out of the box is what makes a property stand out! šŸ”‘āœØ Think about what I shared last week with micro-influencers.

We've all seen those billboards where real estate agents advertise with a claim like ā€œTop Teamā€ or simply display their logo and a tagline. This is great for brand awareness, but what if we took it a step further with a bold, creative call to action? Imagine a billboard that says, ā€œIā€™ll sell your home, or my services are free.ā€ Or ā€œText this number with your address to receive a free equity report.ā€

Or how about a Property of the Week feature? Picture this: you're stuck in traffic, and thereā€™s a billboard inviting you to call and hear about the Investment Opportunity of the Week.

Real estate doesnā€™t have to follow the usual rulesā€”sometimes, breaking the mold leads to the best results.

LinkedIn rolled out post boosting for Lead Generation

Similar to Metaā€™s boosting feature, the update enables brands to turn organic content into targeted ads that use LinkedInā€™s first-party data to capture high-quality leads. Wow, just wow! LinkedIn continues to scream, ā€œHey real estate agent, Iā€™m here and your next seller is tooā€

Discover Real Estateā€™s $1.3 Trillion Investment Revolution

Most of us remember when Pacaso made waves with its unique approach to vacation home co-ownership. But now, Pacaso has a new twist that could change the game for investors.

Taking a page from Picasso, who reshaped the art world, Pacaso is transforming real estate by allowing buyers to own a shareā€”from ā…› to Ā½ā€”of high-end properties. They handle the heavy lifting of ownership, so all you need to do is enjoy your vacation home. And the response? Outstanding. In just three years, Pacasoā€™s notched over $100M in adjusted gross profits with over $1B in property transactions. Thatā€™s more than impressiveā€”itā€™s tangible growth.

Now, for the first time, Pacaso is opening up investment in the company itself to the public. With a whopping $1.3 trillion market potential in the U.S., thereā€™s serious room for expansion. This isnā€™t just a chance to join a trendā€”itā€™s an opportunity to be part of an industry reimagined.

The minimum investment is reasonable and I am surely going to buy some myself. Here is the link with more information if you are so inclined.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

ā

One of my early mentors, when asked for his best advice on how to be great in business, said, " Listen with intent.ā€ This advice resonated with me immensely.

Listening with intent isnā€™t a technique; itā€™s a behavior that causes one to shift from the story running in one's mind to focusing on the story of others.

Great strategists do this!

COACHING TIP
The Power of Goal Repetition

Daymond John, one of the sharpest entrepreneurial minds out there, has a powerful ritual when it comes to his goals. Every night before he goes to bed and each morning when he wakes up, he reviews his list of ten goals. Six of these are short-term, set to expire in six months, and the other four are long-term, ranging from 3 to 20 years. Heā€™s not aiming for perfection in achieving every single one but rather focuses on getting "closer to there."

Why does he do this? Because thereā€™s incredible power in repetition and focus. By regularly reminding himself of his goals, he primes his mind to seek opportunities, solve problems, and make decisions aligned with those targets.

Now, think about your own goals. How often are you repeating them? Daily goal-setting practices arenā€™t just about motivationā€”theyā€™re about training your brain to recognize paths that lead to your objectives.

Take Action: Start by setting a goal-review habit. Make it a non-negotiable part of your morning and evening routines. Keep your list concise, specific, and include both short and long-term aspirations. Remember, itā€™s less about achieving 100% of each goal and more about moving in the right direction, consistently and intentionally.

How often will you repeat your goals to keep them alive and relevant?
